Over christmas we also started a new and awesome tradition, which was the gingerbread house decorating extravaganza=) we had all kinds of rules (mainly implemented and enforced by Adam, lets just say, at one point he was forced to eat a dry pinto bean to prove edibility of their cottage)... and we divided up into teams. Below is the winning team of my mom and Adam and their stone cottage, yes, that is blueberry pudding for the pond for those of you who were wondering.
My Dad and I were a team, the best team, even though our gingerbread cabin did not take first place. It was very quaint, check out the tootsie roll and pretzel fence in front!

for the record, they did kind of get the shaft this year when they opened up their gingerbread kit to find that almost all of it was in tiny pieces=) excuses, excuses...
actually, I think they did pretty good with their tropical theme and fruit roll up cabana=)
