Crawling

It's official, we now have three mobile children=) we had one blessed week where he was sitting up and happy about it, but not yet mobile; and now he's crawling and figuring things out quickly! actually the crawling is keeping him quite entertained as well and it is amazing how much he has progressed in a week!

garden update =)

since I know you've all been waiting on the edge of your seats to hear how our garden is doing, here are some updated pics. we have massive quantities of peas, but we had our first harvest last night (more pics to come) and they were pretty tasty!

the greenhouse is doing awesome and so far seems to be doing the job of keeping away bugs. and protected the plants from the hail storm we had this afternoon!

This was a big week for little Truman. On Monday morning we had to take him up to Gainesville to have a little surgery done on his belly-button, something mom has been dreading for months, but it went really well and he was trooper. and then, on Wednesday he turned 7 mos old! and we celebrated by trying his first finger food, those little puffs=) so that's what he is doing in this picture, he loves eating them, but doesn't quite have the dexterity to grab such a tiny little thing and get it into his mouth!

He also finally mastered sitting up! yay! this makes my life so much easier! and is THIS close to crawling, he has been up on all fours scooting and rocking for weeks now, which will NOT make my life easier, so we aren't in that much of a hurry for that one=)

he also got to sit and watch his first Praise Baby video, okay, he may have witnessed a few morning cartoons already, but this was the first time we put on a video just for him, and he was enthralled by the pretty music, sat through the whole thing!

Daddy brought home some fun new finger foods from the store, "baby mum mum", have you heard of these? I guess we've been out of the baby loop for awhile now, but we are loving these! so easy for him to hold and munch on=) and FYI...it says on the box that they are not messy, but this is not entirely true=)

Spring break visit from the Mosers

this past week our good friends, the mosers, came down to visit from Indiana. there was lots of playing in the backyard, swimming and very silly knock knock jokes=) this year we had two more little ones to add in the mix!

animal sanctuary

this past week while the mosers were here we got to check out this really neat animal sanctuary that adam did some work at recently. the woman who runs the sanctuary gave us a tour and it was really amazing to see all of these animals so close up!

this tiger was amazing! so huge and beautiful and sweet, he is sniffing my hand=)

he laid down on this ledge and the kids got to pet him!

the last thing we got to do was feed this sweet giraffe, so fun!
